Between giants and grassroots – how can we make a difference together?, with Ylva Johannesson [EN]

Together with Ylva Johannesson, we want to explore how we can drive systemic change most quickly and effectively. As an ideal-driven company, NGO or grassroots movement, we often look at the big players in the industry with a furrowed brow. And yet, why is it important to involve them? Under which conditions is cooperation successful and what can we achieve with it? Ylva will show us case studies and we’ll discuss together how grassroots and giants can complement each other in a meaningful way. We also want to hear from Ylva which steps are now the most important in the food system to cope with the climate crisis, considering our urgent time problem. ⠀

Ylva Johannesson is an independent sustainability consultant with an MSc in Food Policy and a BSc in Nutrition. She works closely with food-led businesses and organisations wanting to improve their sustainability credentials, from food sourcing to social responsibility and environmental impacts. Ylva’s work aims to bring clarity to complexity, to inspire change and to challenge the status quo. Through an integrated systems-based approach, rooted in science, Ylva helps businesses create impactful change for a regenerative, nourishing and fair food future.
